Lisbon -- Barcelona

Hi, instead of flying to Barcelona from Lisobon, i am thinking of taking a train all the way there. I really want to see the country side and maybe jump from the train for an hour or so and see small towns and jump on the next one. Are there any trains going from Lisbon to Barcelona? And where is the railway station? Thank you.

I think there are only trains to Madrid and not Barcelona :( I could be wrong though. Still, try this page http://www.cp.pt/cp/displayPage.do?vgnextoid=87cbd5abe2a74010VgnVCM1000007b01a8c0RCRD&lang=en :)

You can go from Lisbon to Madrid and there to Barcelona.
If you want to stop in some smalltowns, don't take the 'Lusitânia', it have very few stops in Portugal and the only that is really interesting is Marvão (with an old castle, will be UNESCO Heritage very soon).
To "stop & see" you should take different trains in Portugal and Spain, and for that you will need these 2 links.
